Went to Lincoln NE for Barb's marrathon. Stayed at Harrah's Council Bluffs IA. Was a very nice Hotel/Casino! I was impressed.
Barb did fine on her run. 3300 runners this year!
Will tell more later.........

"will tell more later".........RIGHT!...we've heard that one before!
I've got and idea, ASK BARB to fill us in on the run and trip. She's the silent half of your incomplete trip reports...maybe she could find the time for some more details...from her perspective...might be fun!
ANY ONE ELSE WANT TO HEAR BARB'S SIDE OF BEING MRS. RANGER?

LOL
I do have a bad habit, of trip reports!
We left after work on Sunday. 11:30. Drove to Coucil Bluffs. Checked into the hotel, VERY NICE! Then went on the "boat"
It was 3 levels, with alot of new slots. Tables were great, with lots of $5. I played a little blackjack, and even more craps. Only time I played Roullette, was when I used my $5MP's from casino player.
I had 8 $5MP's, played all of them. Won 6 lost 2. Not to bad.
Blackjack wasn't very good. They had good rules, just couldn't get anything started.
Craps was the only thing that kept me going!
Barb had a couple good hits on the slots.
All the machines were coinless. It made it kinda quiet.
All in all, we came home a $100 behind.
Did get a free room, and 2 free meals, for our $100! LOL
The diamond lounge, was nice. Not as nice as Rio's.
Barb's run was in Lincoln, about an hour away. Got up at 4am. took showers, and headed out at 5. She had to pick up her packet. Got to U-Nebraska, around 6:15. Had to wait a while, there was a long line. Race started at 7:00am. It was 35* at the start of the race! She did just fine, walked some and ran some. I met her at 3 different mile markers, to give encouragement.
After the race, we went back to Harrah's, so she could soak in the tub for a while! DON'T BLAME HER! I was tired just watching her! I could NEVER do what she did!
We ate at the buffet, and then headed back home. About 3 1/2 hour drive. Had to stop a few times, so she could get out and stretch.
All in all, a good quick 36 hour/630 mile trip!

Thanks Randy, sounds like you're back to your old self.
It's too late for this year, but Barb (and you) might have fun making a trip to the Bay Area for the RUN TO THE FAR SIDE run. It's a big party, everyone in crazy costumes, lots of press, folks have a great time, thousands of people take part...pros and just plain folk.
The big, serious run here is the BAY TO BRAKERS, dangerous and gruleing, but very popular......ask her if she's ever heard of it, I'm curious...
