Ok folks got back late last night and here goes my very first trip report. Hope you enjoy, I did.

Ok as I have posted already I woke up at about midnight on Friday evening with leaving on a shuttle to Austin airport at 5:20 in the morning so I barely got any sleep due to excitement.

Friday
Called the shuttle company at about 5:15 to tell them the gate code to my apartment complex. The person answering the phone said that the shuttle would be here around 5:40 and that he would only have to make one stop other than mine. Sounded good so I waited by the door. Shuttle arrived and we were off, did not get to airport until 7:00 in the a.m. my flight was at 7:50 a little nervous I was, but airport was not crowded so was ok. Stupid me forgot to take off my watch so set off the metal detector and had to be patted down, was by a cute girl so did not mind so much. Plane did not leave until 8:15 but made up time in the air and got to Vegas about 20 minutes early... love Southwest.

After getting off the plane I was met at baggage claim by our Aladdin limo driver, great guy gave us free passes to "X" at the Aladdin tipped him 15 which seemed to make his day since he was stiffed by last passengers. The Vegas feeling did not hit me until we were checking in and saw some people being escorted up to their room with a good size sack by a security guard. Check in took no more than 4 minutes and we were on the 20th floor resort room with a decent view but could not see Bellagio.

We ate breakfast at Burger at the Oasis at about 9:00 local time, had a burger on a bed of rice with some eggs on top smothered in brown gravy. Was pretty good but nothing fancy. Had an early morning Mai-tai to go with breakfast plenty of liquor in it. One coworker looked at me like I was crazy when I ordered it but it was not long until everyone had drinks. Next we did a good walk through the casino so we could see what was going on. I have to say that there was plenty of lousy blackjack tables in the Aladdin. All the tables had at least a minimum of $15.00 were 6:5 blackjack and hit on soft 17. Could not bring myself to play so checked out the craps tables. There was a pretty good happenin table so I bought in for 40 had a $10.00 minimum so just played the pass line. The table was full of Asian people and they knew the game well and knew how to roll, in about 20 minutes I had $200.00. Decided to risk it all on another throw the roller hit a 7 and I walked away with a smooth $360.00 profit. I felt very good but some of the people at the table were betting $500.00 a shot and cleaning up.

After winning I headed up to the room to drop the 360 in the safe and to freshen up a bit. While we were upstairs I looked through the magazines for a while but did not find anything appealing so we headed out. It was about 12:30 we headed south on the strip walking. Very first thing that happened was outside the Aladdin, we were waiting to cross the street on Harmon and a very good looking lady said "where are yall staying?" we told her and she asked if wanted some company. How much I asked her, she said $400.00 for everything. The look on my friends face was priceless. We declined and walked over to the Harley Davidson bar and had a couple of beers each. Decent beer but cost about $4.00 and the bartender was very robotic not much personality. Next we kept walking and decided to go into the MGM, was just standing next to a slot machine reading the payouts when a waitress asked what I wanted to drink. I got a long island and tipped $2.50 was well on my way now feeling very good. Finally found a decent blackjack table with a $10.00 minimum stand on 17 hit on 16 double deck. Bought in for $40.00 won five hands in a row with one of them being a blackjack tipped the dealer a 5 and walked away with a hundred. Was very lucky is all I can guess. One hand I had a 12 the dealer was showing a 6 and I stood. The lady next to me evidently got annoyed and told me I should hit. She had a 15 decided to hit busted 25 she had bet about 100.00 the dealer busted paid me my money and she actually told me she was sorry. I very humbley told her "I must just be lucky".

Next stop was across the street to NYNY did not gamble because I figured my luck was out for a while. Walked around a little saw a group of 4 ladies seriously getting their drink on and invited them to 9 fine Irishmen. This was a great place the bartender use to work at the Rio and was let go with all the layoffs, they lost a damn good bartender. I had two Irish Ales (cannot remember what they are called now but they were very good). The bartender answered alot of our questions and the one thing that really impressed was that when he did not know the answer he actually went and asked. Being Irish myself this place felt very nice. In order to get in a more Irish mood I bought myself and friends and the bartender 2 shots of Baileys...mmmmm went very well with the Irish beer. Tipped the bartender 15.00 as we were there for a couple of hours, again cannot say enough nice things about him. If any of yall care he works the bar upstairs next to the restroom (I always try to sit close to a restroom).

By now it was about 4:30 in the afternoon and I was well on my way to getting sloshed. Decided to slow it down a bit and go back to hotel room to relax for a bit. So far I had only had about 4-5 hours of sleep the night and day before (unconsecutive). At about 6:30 I woke up my friend and asked him if he wanted to go buy a quick bite to eat. He was out cold, wimp he slept the whole night before. So by myself I went down and ate at the Lasalsa restaurant inside the desert passage. Had a grande burrito and opted for a soda this time (was I wimping out, not just yet folks!) I guess now is a good time to also say that during the whole day it was 100 degrees plus outside so I was drinking lots of water between liquor, and was keeping the plumbers in Vegas well employed. The burrito was nice and big but did cost $12.00 but I figure it was worth it. On my way to check on my wimpy friend back in the hotel room I stopped at the build a bear and got my kiddos a bear each. Nothing like being semi drunk and having to "kiss" the heart before they sew it up.

Got up to room, and friend was crashed out. We would be seeing "X" tonight for free at 10:00 as it was 8:00 now I told him he better get stirring. He got ready and we went to "Sinbads" lounge and I had a planters punch (I know what yall are saying now and yes I am a girl drink drunk). Went to the show and had a big ol rum something drink. It had about 4 shots of liquor in it but did not taste bad. The show X was very good. The regular cast of girls were very gorgeous and I was lucky enough to go on stage with them to do a skit. (Was picked by the irregular cast member and X playmate to do a "mile high club" skit. Was very funny and two girls in audience bought my next two drinks because they never laughed so hard. I was a little embarresed because behind the curtain they took off my shirt and put lipstick on my face to complete the scene. I do have a six pack, but it is not muscles it is literraly a six pack. The comedian in the middle of the show is ok nothing special but some good laughs. The only down to the show is really the x playmate she could not dance act or do anything other than walk around like a model topless. The x playmate definitely does not fit the rest of the show. All the ladies are very good dancers and they have a contorsionist that is just gifted is all I can say.

After the show we headed back out to the strip. This time we walked down by Ballys and again was propositioned by another streetwalker this time for 200.00. One of my unmarried coworkers disappeared at about the same time so I can only wonder. We headed across the street to Caesars and I had some white russians wholly gorbachev batman these are liquored up! While walking around a friend said I should try a black russian. I tried one but did not like it. By this time I was just drunk wandering and talking to any woman that would talk to me. We decided to get back to the hotel before all of us were drunk and could not find our way. Once back at our hotel we decided to have a snack, I had a slice of cheesecake at the Zanzibar cafe. It took about 15 minutes before a waiter even came over, this was about the worse service I had the whole trip. Oh well you win some you loose some. Went up to the room and I called and had a wake up call set for 10:00. The last thing I remember was picking my friend up off the floor and rolling him into his bed. I used a good saying that I had saw and told him "youre not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on". Last thing I remember was the clock reading 3:53. If you looked up drunk you would find me. :thumb:

Total winnings for the day: $460.00
Total liqour bill: about $200.00 but I was buying a few rounds here and there.
Total streetwalker bill: $0.00
Getting sloshy drunk in Vegas on 5 hours sleep: priceless

Saturday

I woke up at about 7:30 a.m. without a hangover or anything I could not believe it at all. Went to Starbucks inside the hotel and had a mocha frappucino love these things. Went to another cofee shop and got a bagle with cream cheese and some kind of ham hit the spot. At about 8:30 I went and grabbed planters punch from the bar because I knew it would just be a matter of time before hangover symptoms would hit. Walked around the Aladdin a bit and took in some shops. Found a great pair of 1 carat diamond earings for $250.00 bought them and had them wrapped for the wife (peace offering!). I had a spa appointment at noon so went back up to room to relax a bit. Got to the spa and it was great had a massage and a facial cost way too much though total bill $312.00. After the spa I went back up to the room to find my friend still comatose, went down to casino to try my hand at craps again, this will be my new game of choice it is very fun. Lost $60.00 so decided to call it an afternoon at gambling. Went and got myself a beer and a rum drink for my friend. While I was at the bar I decided to go ahead and get a double shot of baileys again was a good shot. Went back up to the room and friend still asleep, woke him up damn near bottle fed him the rum drink and finally he was awake.

We went downstairs and had lunch (it was about 3:00 by now) at P.F. Changs, I had the honey crispy chicken and also got some fried rice both were excellent. I also got some sake and a drink called a warrior. The warrior was a little rough going down. We headed over to the Bellagio they had the conservatory dressed up in fall and it had a wonderful smell took some good pictures which I have not uploaded to computer yet. Played some video poker and won about $50.00 it was a ticket in ticket out machine. While I was playing I had a long island ice tea again I was well on my way. By now one of my friends was down to $75.00 and he would have to spend 30 of it getting a shuttle back from airport. We all set the law down and told him if he got broke he was on his own. Lucky lucky bastard won on the slots for $400.00 which was very good because it really eased everyones tension. Afterward we walked back to Aladdin and put 300 of it in the safe for Sunday and Monday. We walked over to NYNY again and had two more Irish Ales very good again same bartender. We passed by the Coyote Ugly bar on the way to Mandalay bay (by way of Excalibur and Luxor) and I bought myself three jello shots for the moving walkway. Did not even stop to look in Excalibur went directly to walkway to Luxor. Stopped by Nefertitis lounge and had some "surf on Acid" shots. (Malibu, Madori, Jagermeister and pineapple juice). Found a decent craps table with asians playing and I turned $30.00 into $200.00 from now on I am only playing with Asians at the table no offense to anyone. Got on the free tram to Mandalay Bay and went to rumjungle actually got 4 seats at the bar on Saturday night at about 9:30. I had some rumdrink and also some chicken skewers that were flavorable but way overpriced and very small portion. Did not feel like gambling at Mandalay Bay so we decided to share a cab with three ladies to the Hardrock. Big mistake I like crowds but this was ridiculous no chance in hell of getting to the bar, lots of snooty women some nice people but just too crowded. I was pretty drunk and lost 60 in a hurry at a crappy ruled black jack table. On these tables and I am sure elsewhere there is side bets that you can make something like if you get two queens it is like 50 to 1 and so forth. Was not feeling the place so we decided to get out of there. The cab line was about 200+ deep so we tried to catch a cab at a far away spot.

A guy came up to us and asked if we were looking for a cab, we told him yes. He said to follow him. He was walking into the parking lot when we noted he was stumbling. No way in hell buddy, we also noted that he was leading us to a personal van and got highly pissed off when we turned back. On our way back a limo driver drove up and told us it would be $20.00 to Aladdin so we hopped in and even stood up out of the sunroof. We asked the limo driver if he had any elvis and he played the "little less conversation" I think it is called Dirty Vegas but I am not sure. That was great 4 inebriated men and one girl that just happened to slip in in the last second, (where did she come from ohh well she was cute what the hell) blaring elvis hanging outside the sunroof.

The lady that slipped in was great, when we got back to the Aladdin she found 2 more ladies to sit down with us and one very drunk guy that bought the whole table drinks for about an hour and a half at Sinbads lounge. Since he was buying I was drinking 12.00 Long Islands I had about 4 of them when we decided to get a bite to eat. By that time everything was fuzzy I had some kind of sandwich and two girls ended up in our hotel room. We did not do anything with them but we did have to kick them out when it was time to go to bed. About the last thing I remember was walking them downstairs and asking some nice older lady to please push button 20 as I could not find it. I barely remember getting back to my room and fell asleep with a rolled up towel under my head in the bathroom.

Total gambling win/losses for the day: +$130.00
Total drinking bill: about $210.00 plus or minus cause i dont remember
Having women pick up men to buy us drinks on them: priceless

Sunday

Woke up at 8:00 feeling a little peckish so went downstairs and had a quick long island. I was wearing basically pajamas when I bought it hair gone to hell just looking bad. I got a few looks LOL. Went back upstairs to shower, shave and drank the damn pricey water they leave you on the table, oh well. Woke my friend up and he could not find his shoes, he actually retraced his steps and found them wedged really wedged in between the ice machine and soda machine that was a good laugh that he got drunk and purposely wedged his shoes no one knows what he was thinking.

Went downstairs and ate at the spice market buffet, champaine brunch. I had beer LOL and drank three of them while eating eggs, enchiladas, pizza and prime rib. When we were done we were amazed to find one of the ladies that drank with us still drinking at the bar, we were definitely lightweights compared to her as she could still walk and talk. The bartender told us she had been in that same chair since 4:00 the night before and that she had not had to buy any of her own drinks. Too funny as it was now about 1:00 in the afternoon.

We walked over to tickets 2 night but they were not quite open yet so we had a drink at some little bar I cannot remember what it is called. Once tickets 2 night opened we got half priced tickets to the star trek experience and took a cab to Hilton. This was a pretty decent ride/show and we had some fun. Afterward we went to the Star Trek bar and I had one of their signature drinks that bubbles. It tasted like grape but was decent enough, did not have much liquor (or my tastebuds were shot one or the other). We left at about 4:00 and walked a very very long way to the Sahara. On the way there is a bunch of massage parlors that I am sure double for "other business". Once we got to the Sahara we caught a cab to check out the Rio.

Walked around the Rio great place I think I will definetely stay here next time. Two things would happen here that would be the highlight of the trip. The first being we found an Irish (I guess actually Scottish) pub called the Tilted Kilt. Our waitress name was Maria and she was very cute and very very sweet. I wish we would have came here sooner. She had gone to high school in Hawaii as she was an army brat. She also had been in the Navy herself and was well traveled. At the tilted kilt the owner actually bartends so it is a very intimate place. Maria gave us all kinds of admin comps to nightclubs like Bikinis, Risque at the Paris, Curve etc. etc. She also gave us a bunch of free drink coupons to the Aladdin (like 10 each wow). We told her we were going to the Voodoo lounge and bid her farewell. She said she was getting off at 2 and to come back and she would get us a drink.

We went up to the Voodoo lounge and it was right about sunset. This place was very nice. Quiet as it is away from all the sounds of the strip but you get plenty of strip views. While we were there, no one in my group wanted to share a witch doctor with me. So I said what the heck and got one all to myself. The pricetag on this is $24.00 but it is well worth it as it has 14 long long shots of liquor and a couple parts of sweet and sour. Big drink and they put a piece of dried ice in it for effect. We went outside on the patio and the view was inspiring. Most of my party was pooped out by now and decided to go back to the hotel for the night. What the heck it was only 9:30. So me and my friend that stayed got to talking to a very nice couple from Seattle named Jack and Jenny. Once we were sitting at their table for about 20 minutes Jenny said she just had to have a witch doctor. When she was about half way done with it she asked if I would walk with her to the restroom. That was a good site to see both of us having a big time walking with our arms around each other to the restroom. She actually walked me into the restroom and everyone had a good laugh (the womens by the way). I ended up finishing my drink and about 1/3 of hers. Her boyfriend and me had to help carry her to a cab at about 15 minutes of 2 what a great night.

We went back to the tilted kilt at about 2 and sure enough our earlier waitress Maria was waiting and the owner was pouring our beers for free. Again Maria was great and we called it an evening with her around 4:30 in the morning. I got her email address as we became pretty good friends. Wish I had a picture but I was in no shape to use my camera by this time. We caught the shuttle back to Harrahs on the strip and noted that some of the people on the shuttle were pretty dry. It took us a very long time to walk back to the Aladdin and I got a 2.00 "large" draft for the walk. If the distance was a mile we probably made it two with our swerve drunk walking. I got a "porno" card from every "flapper" that I saw as I was having a big time. We also came up with a new drinking game which we called "spot the hooker" and everytime we saw a lady dressed skimpily with platform shoes we took a drink. When we got back to the hotel we played another game we made up called "porno card poker" the rules I cannot remember now but we came up with some sort of if the card says barely on it it is worth 10 if the private parts are covered with stars it is worth 5 and so on. It was 6:00 in the a.m. when we got to the hotel, by the time we got up to the room it was light outside. Maria had called to make sure we got back ok, and we told her we did. She told us she might see us later in the day as she was taking her younger brother around to fill out applications and try to find a job.
I called downstairs and they let us move our check out time to 2:00 which was perfect.

Total gambling wins/losses for day: $0.00 did not gamble at all
Total drink bill for day: around $200.00

We woke up on Monday at about noon and did we hurt something fierce. I went down and it took everything I had to get down a long island which made everything feel all better again. We did see Maria again in the Desert Passage and I called my wife on the phone to introduce them. I think she talked my wife into staying at the Rio when she comes down and having a girls night out with her friends, it is good to meet nice people that you can easily make friends with.

The flight home we had a layover in Phoenix which I got another "Im hurtin" drink and both flights was nice because the plane barely had anyone on it which meant everyone had their own row. Got home around midnight on Monday. The wife was very happy to get her earings as she has been after me for a while to get her some, and she also made a new friend and had talked to Maria a couple of times already. My kiddos were also suprised to find their new bears and my daughter actually woke me up before she went to school to hug me and ask me if I made sure to kiss and put the heart in the bear. My daughter was so cute and even know she woke me up and I was feeling pretty sickly I was very happy to be home.

Some tips for future Vegas goers:
1. Drink water, it is the desert silly
2. Tip good service well it is worth it
3. Go to the lounge close to a nightclub and buy some drinks and tip the bartender and he/she can give you vip passes to the club no waiting, no cover.
4. Ask cab drivers if they have any discounted show tickets as they probably do.
5. Ask any valet driver anything vegas related and they will probably know the answer.
6. Watch for extra charges on your Spa bill as they may sneak in an extra treatment during the facial, I called the hotel today to complain and my wife is getting a free massage from Elemis when she goes.
7. While on the strip if a lady wearing platform shoes asks you "where are you staying" she is probably "working".

Ok actually my friend that went with me just told me that a portion of my trip report was wrong LOL this will show how drunk I was. We left the Rio at about 4:30 in the morning and got in a Van taxi. I told the driver to go to Harrahs because I was thinking it was the shuttle, my friend thought I had it all worked out at the time so did not correct me. And the dry people we met was walking back into the Harrahs entrance when everyone was just so gloomy.

I guess I really did tie one on that night LOL

Jeremy your trip sounds like a real winner!! You really packed alot into it. I laughed and really enjoyed reading it.

The drinks were really wild...just one would put me under the table

Glad you had a terrific time. The earrings and bears were a nice touch.

Isn't it nice to find new friends in different places.

I am really impressed with your ability to drink. That much alcohol would kill most people. I wouldn't even remember being there. So you get extra points for remembering all you did.... :thumb:

I will post a really nice picture of my drink on top of the Rio later on when I get home. Everyone thought I was crazy for paying 24.00 for it, but it is really worth it as you can have one that will replace about 10 regular drinks.

Thanks for reminding me of my old Chardonay trips...the GOOD 'OL DAYS boy...I did get a nice "buzz" just reading your report however, thanks again

So you DID make the "X" mile high club too...kinda cool hugh...I didn't get the lipstic treatment though.............at least, not where the audiance could see it.
I agree totally about the Playboy guest...they get a new one every month. That type of gig is about all the girls can get after their magazine thing...
Some do the strip clubs and CAN dance, but most I think, just try to walk and show their fake breasts at the same time.........and some really can too believe it or not! The "X" girls ARE fine aren't they!

...forgot about the "Tilted Kilt". I like that place alot too. I get my late night Buffelo Wings there to take up to the room at the end of a night. A couple of the girls used to be Ipanima cocktail servers...good folks in there, lots of fun!

The combos Jeremy drank on his trip...........you listening Jeremy? The tripple shots of this, the Rum, the dry ice super foo-foo's, and what was that monster concocksion at VooDoo Lounge...? Awwwww youth...walk around the next day with a "Ax" planted between your eyes and chase it away with a double Bloody Mary or shot of Taquilla...or both!

Jeremy, did you have more plans for the bathroom other than just sleeping on the floor...I know, I know...convenience...when in Las Vegas it's all about location, location, location!

Thanks for all the feedback. I have been pretty busy with "home" stuff this last week and have not had much time to post. For going to Vegas by myself (without wife) my wife has talked me into buying new living room furniture for the new home. It is bluejean (denim) furniture I dont know if i am too crazy about it but do not have much of a bargaining stick with me just going to Vegas (I know she had this planned as it was just toooo easy to go). LOL
